Hello,

My name is Geraldine Kavanagh. I was born and raised in Waterford City. At a very young age I loved art, painting and drawing. I hoped to learn and practice more in school art class. In my school however, kids were not given the choice and I was placed in home economics instead of art.

The years passed and it wasn’t until later in life, following careers in retail and nursing that I made the decision to pursue my passion for art and in particular, painting.

I purchased my first canvas, some acrylic paint colours and that was it, I was instantly hooked, again.

I get my artistic inspiration from nature and animals. If you are interested in a painting of a special place to you or a loving pet, get in touch.
